Anthony Lent has called his Moonface, in particular, the "moonface of the collective unconscious." Although it's an entirely original sculptural model, everyone who sees it thinks they've seen it before. Our Moonface was originally inspired by a half-remembered image seen many years ago in a Victorian-era children's book.
